Ik behaalde in 2023 mijn diploma Master in de logopedie aan de KU Leuven. Tijdens mijn opleiding liep ik meerdere stages in verschillende settings. In het AZ Sint-Maria Halle leerde ik ontzettend veel bij over de diagnostiek en behandeling van neurogene communicatiestoornissen en slikproblemen binnen een acute setting. Al snel had ik door dat dit domein binnen de logopedie me erg lag. Verder liep ik ook stage in een zelfstandige praktijk waar ik ervaring opdeed binnen het behandelen en diagnosticeren van spraak-, taal- en leerstoornissen bij kinderen. Daarna vertrok ik voor 3 maanden naar Suriname om een buitenlandse stage te lopen waar ik kinderen met een ontwikkelingsachterstand begeleidde. Tijdens deze mooie ervaring kreeg ik de kans me verder te verdiepen in neurologische pathologieën en leerde ik veel bij over de logopedische behandeling bij kinderen met een enkel- of meervoudige beperking. 

In augustus 2023 ben ik meteen gestart als zelfstandige logopediste in het Logopedisch Centrum Leuven, waar ik voornamelijk volwassenen met neurogene communicatiestoornissen en slikproblemen behandel. Naast neurologopedie, behandel ik ook kinderen met leerproblemen en spraak- en oromyofunctionele problemen. In de toekomst zou ik ook erg graag baby’s en jonge kinderen met eet- en drinkproblemen en/of slikproblemen behandelen.
